Gan B’nai Shalom Summer Camp
Super Summer Fun at Gan B’nai Shalom Summer Camp
June 24 - August 16
Enroll your child in the Gan B’nai Shalom Summer Camp for an educational, interactive, and incredible summer. This camp is for children between 2 to 6 years of age. Each week has a special theme and will be full of wonderful discoveries for your child.
Eight one week sessions (camp meets Monday through Friday):
1st Session: June 24-28
2nd Session: July 1-5 (no camp Thurs., July 4)
3rd Session: July 8-12
4th Session: July 15-19
5th Session: July 22-26
6th Session: July 29-August 2
7th Session: August 5-9
8th Session: August 12-16
Core Camp Program: Monday through Friday, 9:00 am-1:00 pm
Extended Day Enrichment Program: Monday through Friday, 7:30 am-6:00 pm

Salmon Fishing Adventure with Men’s Club

5:00am at the Berkeley Marina
Join us for a salmon fishing adventure with Captain Gallia aboard the New Easy Rider! We will meet at the Berkeley Marina at 5:45am; the boat leaves at 6:15am for a full day of fishing and fun. Cost: $120/person, which includes bait and tackle and assistance from the experienced crew. Rod rental (if needed) is $30; paid at the boat. Fishing license required (available online or at a sporting goods store). Spaces are limited (25 guest capacity), so please reserve early; reservation deadline is May 15. Volunteers for Israel Presentation
Sunday, July 14
10:30am in the Social Hall
The Israel Engagement Committee invites you to a video and discussion about the Volunteers for Israel Program, whose mission is to connect Americans to Israel through volunteer service. Kay Warren, the regional representative of VFI, will talk about the history and the work of the organization, which sends volunteers to do civilian work on Israel army bases.
B’nai Shalom members Diane Swanson, Celia Menczel and Jay Jaffe, who have collectively volunteered more than 16 times, will talk about their experiences on Israeli army bases.
Refreshments will be served; a donation of $5 is suggested.
Family Picnic Day

12:00pm-3:00pm at Castle Rock Park (Pool Oak Terrace) in Walnut Creek
Enjoy a great picnic and lots of fun with Congregation B’nai Shalom! Open to members, students and prospective members. Men’s Club will be serving hot dogs, beer, sodas, water, and juice boxes for the kids. Lunch will be served from 12:30pm to 2:30pm. Activities will include swimming (pool charge of $2.50 for children and $3.50 for adults), basketball, volleyball, horseshoes, carnival games and many surprises! No admission fee; free parking. Jewish Heritage Night at the Oakland A’s
