Byahad Benefit Dinner & Concert

Although the weather did not cooperate, the atmospheric river could not dampen the spirits of those patrons who came to the Byaḥad Together We Build Benefit Concert and Patron Dinner. With the power going out just prior to the dinner, candles appeared on the table to set the ambiance for the dinner for those who had arrived. Presentations were offered by JNF’s Martha Kariv of JNF and by Aaron Needel, who just returned from a three-week volunteer mission. An acoustic concert followed, abbreviated so everyone could get home safely through the storm.
Special thanks to Shira and Efi Lubliner for their tireless efforts in organizing this benefit event, and to Ḥazzan Sandy Bernstein for organizing a full concert, then a shortened one—without lights and power—on the fly. Dinner wines were donated by Hagafen Cellars. Dinner was served by Oakland Kosher Foods.
