B’nai Mitzvah
The Bar Mitzvah and Bat Mitzvah ceremonies mark the occasion of a young person becoming a full participant in the Jewish community.
Students prepare through continuous and regular study in the Religious School or Jewish day school which culminates with a focused, one-on-one “fine-tuning” with clergy for 12 months prior to their ceremony. Each student is encouraged to take part in the services to the best of his or her ability. Students are also asked to prepare a tikkun olam mitzvah project that reflects their personal Jewish values.
Rabbi Stein and Hazzan Bernstein will provide the support that both the student and family need to fully participate in and appreciate the significance of this sacred rite of passage.
