Making a Difference in our Communities
This committee attempts to do just that by studying current issues and creating opportunities for B’nai Shalom members to participate in community-based projects dealing with poverty, homelessness, violence, cultural diversity, and social advocacy.

Grassroot Israeli Organizations
Supporting grassroot organizations such as Magen David Adom, Zaka, Eran, IDF Widows and Orphans, Friends of IDF, etc.

Helps vulnerable clients with shelter, food and supplies.

Help fill the shelves by donating food or funds.

Disaster Recovery
supporting communities experiencing national and international disasters.

Monument Crisis Center
supporting vulnerable clients with food, education and many social services needs.

Shalom Bayit
supporting volunterable families due to physical and emotional abuse. Check out our Adopt-a-Family program during Chanukah.

Back to School
Collecting school supplies and/or funds for local students.

Passover for East Bay Seniors in Need
Fill 36 bags with kosher for Passover food for distribution by Jewish Family & Children Services (JFCS). Donations accepted all year.

B'Yachad
Contacting congregants experiencing poor health or mourning the loss of a family member.

One Warm Coat
Donate new or gently used coats and jackets.
