B’nai Shalom Library
Thanks to the B’nai Shalom Library Committee, our collection has been weeded, sorted, expanded with many new books, and it’s been empowered with room for more to come.
Our children’s collection is substantial; it is available to the children and to the teachers, for use in the classroom, or to be taken home. Our shelves are filled with interesting new fiction, including books read by both the Sisterhood and Hadassah book groups.
The library is open from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm on Tuesdays, when the committee members are present. Congregants may browse the collection and check out books themselves, at any time by first visiting the synagogue office. Books may be borrowed for three weeks. To check out a book, just sign the card, date it three weeks hence, and leave the card in the small black tray on the desk. CDs and DVDs of Jewish music, videos, or films may be checked out for a two week period using the same self-service system. Write the date due in the space on the card holder in the book or on the CD/DVD case as a reminder of when the item must be returned.
Happy reading, watching, and listening!
