Retired judge, prize-winning historian, and documentary film producer, Lise Pearlman was uniquely qualified to write the definitive biography of trail-blazing lawyer Fay Stender. Pearlman is also Jewish, clerked on the California Supreme Court, served on the Board of California Women Lawyers, and has been recognized as a pioneer, as she was in the first class of women at Yale.
