Join us for a special evening of song at our virtual Kol Nidrei Concert and Appeal. Ḥazzan Bernstein has assembled some amazing talent to enthrall us with wonderful Jewish music. Adam Brooks will offer his unique insights on our community in this year’s High Holiday appeal.

Neshama Carlebach
Neshama Carlebach is an award-winning singer, songwriter, and educator who has performed and taught in cities around the world. She collaborates with musicians of different faiths, and partners with organizations, synagogues, and churches. Neshama has been a cornerstone of major Jewish music festivals across the U.S. and globally. Neshama began training as a singer and actress at the age of five. As a teenager. she performed alongside her father, the late Rabbi Shlomo Carlebach. Today she lives in New York with her husband Rabbi Menachem Creditor, and their five children.  https://neshamacarlebach.com/

Ḥazzan Mike Stein
Michael Stein is a world-renowned performer, composer, producer, and recording artist. A solo artist featured with Pete Seeger and Sweet Honey in the Rock on the Grammy Award-winning albums, his songs have been recorded by the late Patsy Montana and have been in movies such as “The Little Traitor.” He has recorded fiddle for artists such as Mary Chapin Carpenter and Tom Paxton. His songs have been published by Warner Chappell (We Are With You) and have been played on thousands of radio stations worldwide. In addition to producing cutting-edge music and concerts, he also serves as the cantor at Temple Aliyah in Woodland Hills, California. He is the father of three sons who are accomplished musicians of their own. Together with his wife, Kelley, they perform nationally with their group, the Rolling Steins.

Cantor Abbie Strauss
Abbie Strauss is a Cantor and singer-songwriter in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. She is the founder of The Institute of Jewish Rock and Judaism: Inside Out, based on her music philosophy that engages the mind, body, and soul. Abbie holds a Master of Education degree and has studied Hebrew and Jewish texts in Jerusalem.  She hosts the shows Sing Your BlesSings on JKids Radio and Shir Chadash through the Cantors Assembly. Abbie also has two new albums released this year, Shine On and Up Close! Her fresh sound takes Jewish music to new heights.

Noah Aronson
Noah Aronson has been creating and inspiring audiences with his heartfelt and soulful music for the last 20 years. His music is sung in communities and summer camps around the world, and he tours year-round giving concerts and leading music-driven prayer experiences. Noah graduated from Berklee College of Music in Boston with a degree in piano and jazz composition. While studying, Noah simultaneously held the position of artist-in-residence at Temple Beth Elohim where he continues to serve in this capacity. Through the years, Noah has served on the faculty of Hebrew Union College of Sacred Music, Hava Nashira, Shabbat Shira, Shirei Chagigah, and the Wexner Heritage Foundation, and has partnered with countless communities around the world to help people feel more connected in mind and body and spirit through music.

Danny Maseng
Born in Israel to American parents, Danny first came to the United States to star on Broadway in ‘Only Fools Are Sad.’ A playwright, actor, singer, and composer, Danny has served as Evaluator of New American Plays/Opera-Musical Theater for the National Endowment for the Arts, as the Director of the Spielberg Fellowships for the FJC, as Spiritual Leader of URJ congregation Agudas Achim in NY and as Cantor of Temple Israel of Hollywood in California. Danny is most excited to now be the Chazzan and Spiritual Leader of Makom LA, a newish, Jewish, dynamic, post-denominational community, in Los Angeles. Danny has been a faculty member for major organizations including Limmud, JCM, Elat Chayyim, and The Wexner Heritage Foundation, and is deeply involved in interfaith dialogue. A much sought-after Scholar/Artist-in-Residence, Danny travels the world, inspiring, teaching, and rekindling the love of Judaism through Torah, Hassidut, Jewish Culture, and the Arts.
