Following Sh’mini Atzeret comes the one-day holiday of SimḥatTorah (Rejoicing with the Torah). This festival celebrates the conclusion of our annual cycle of Torah reading the end of Devarim (Deuteronomy) and beginning again in Bereshit (Genesis). This year, we will also be holding a special commemoration marking one year since the attacks of Shemini Atzeret last year. On this most joyous occasion, we dance and sing with the Torah scrolls with live music. Everyone is welcome to hold the Torah scrolls and come up for an aliyah! You will not want to miss this experience
Our service includes a remembrance of the Simḥat Torah attack of last year.
