Carole King’s extraordinary career has defined American popular music for more than half a century. Eisner, former editor at the Forward, traces the professional accomplishments and personal challenges of the pop icon Carole King in her new book, She Made the Earth Move. She explores her unique contributions, shaping the soundtrack of 1960s teen culture, exploding as the leading singer-songwriter of the 1970s, and lasting as a superstar into the new millennium. Eisner’s book brings to life King’s professional accomplishments, her personal challenges, and her lasting contributions to the great American songbook.
